Dubbed as 'one of Canada's finest actors', Peter Williams, a Jamaican-born actor currently living in Canada, started his acting career soon after finishing his studies in England, where he pursued a Geography degree at Nottingham University. Since his early Theatre roles, Peter Williams has built up an extensive film & TV credit list, enhanced by the vast experience acquired from his portrayal of a diversity of roles, ranging from Drama to Comedy and SciFi.
Among his various roles, Peter is highly renowned for his role as the evil Goa'uld System Lord Apophis, from MGM's Stargate SG-1 series and 2008 film "Stargate: Continuum", and whom he has portrayed for several years. Far from the Goa'uld, Peter's successive appearances throughout these years in conventions and different events have earned him a huge following, also thanks to his warmth and personality.
Apart from Stargate, Peter Williams' acting talents have appeared in TV series from "MacGyver" and "The X-Files" to "Da Vinci's Inquest" and "Dead Like Me". His work also includes film roles ranging from "Jungleground" and "Soul Survivor", for which he was nominated for a Genie award for best performance by an actor in a leading role, to appearances on the big screen like the Halle Berry film "Catwoman" and "The Chronicles of Riddick".
Among some of his most recent works, Peter Williams starred in Solomon's 2007 film "A Winter Tale", which received the Tonya Lee Williams Award for Outstanding Canadian Feature at the Seventh Annual ReelWorld Film Festival's (RWFF) Closing Night Gala on Sunday April 15, 2007.
